Mohammad DID NOT preach the conversion or killing of anybody. In fact, Christians and Jews were to be treated with respect as "people of The Book". Islam has been on my mind this week after my parents passed on a piece somebody sent them about Willmar. I wrote them a letter in which I addressed points made by the author about Willmar and our Muslim neighbors. I was somewhat more combative (and verbose) than you were in your very well written piece. I'll pass that on as well. I tried to include my letter in this post but it was much too long.

It's good to hear you are still kicking a soccer ball around!
Best,
Eric Vogel

Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11658113837563099144noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5043335168996694860.post-47674235658613019832015-11-29T22:23:05.146-06:002015-11-29T22:23:05.146-06:00Love you Aunt Deb and super thankful for the sacri...Love you Aunt Deb and super thankful for the sacrifice Josh has made for us! Thanks for the comment, I agree with you on most everything :)Joelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04641756063251786631noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5043335168996694860.post-55136179960446343202015-11-29T11:37:41.481-06:002015-11-29T11:37:41.481-06:00I actually have a muslim friend that I worked with...I actually have a muslim friend that I worked with for over 3 years and still friends with her. They know of Moses and Abraham, of coarse, because they believe Ishmael was the son God promised everything to, not Isaac. So God the Father is not in debate, it's who the savior is. Muslims speak to Ishmael and his mother going into the desert, but from there it really goes south from the bible and their Father becomes the enemy. Joel, it's the love of God and the Holy Spirit that draws someone to our Heavenly Father and Jesus is the representive of that love fully and completely. I know from experience that they are just as devote in their beliefs as we are in ours(more so with some Christians) and the only way that it can turn around is prayer. (Intercession has to birth in people before anything happens)
On another note, I have a few friends that are gay and wonderful people, but they are deceived as are the Muslims. But you know what Joel, so was I on a lot of things as well. Satan does that, he deceives people into thinking what they are doing is okay and bothers no one, which is the biggest lie ever. Sin leads to death and God is so against sin because he knows the harm it will do to us. I feel sorry for all those refugees, but I do not want them to come here. My son has put his life on the line 3 different times (he is there right now) to teach them to defend themselves. The bible teaches that you can not teach a fool and my son would totally agree, just from experience alone. I do not want any more Muslims coming into this nation, the diversity of this nation is causing our morals to go completely south from what the LORD teaches us. God doesn't want us to be ignorant. I do not want my son to come home and have to defend this country from the Jhadist radicals. If you study their religion, they are permitted to lie to us so they can deceive us in order to fulfill their plans. These are not just cute people that need to be saved, therefore lets give them a chance.(make love not war - 60s thing) These are people that are hell bent on converting us or killing us, no in between. Mohammad teaches this and we can not change their beliefs by just thinking they are so sweet and just need Jesus. It is true they need Jesus, however only God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit knows which one are ready to be saved and that is where wisdom and knowledge comes in. We are not to be in fear, for God will protect us, if that knowledge is in you, however in my experience only a hand full of Christians really know who they are in Christ Jesus and all the blessing they should be walking in. (a completely different topic) I will choose to obey God and pray for my enemies but I don't want them here. Actually there are plenty here already. Love you Nephew and big hugs. You are the pastor of your church and you must teach as the LORD directs you for your congreation. Love, Blessings, Hugs always!
